Untitled #279
Umbridge summoned Harry and Fynn to her desk. Begrudgingly alike, the twins kicked aside their chairs and treaded heavily over to Umbridge.

She handed them both scrolls of pink parchment. Fynn scrunched her nose when she was forced to hold it.

"Please take these to Professor McGonagall please." Umbridge simpered.

They left without a glance back. There was silence between them, the only sounds coming from the malevolent Peeves and their foot steps on the marble floors.

After a while, Harry muttered, "You didn't have to back me up. I'm fine with serving detention on my own."

"I think we all know that I backed you up because I know what'll happen to you and I don't want it happening alone." replied Fynn as they rounded a corner to Professor McGonagall's office.

But Professor McGonagall was already outside when Fynn collided with her by accident.

"Miss Potter and Mr. Potter, what on earth are you doing outside of class?"

Without a word, the brother and sister handed the professor their rolls of parchment.

Professor McGonagall read Fynn's first, then Harry's.

She looked around the corridor, then beckoned them inside her office.

"You both yelled at Professor Umbridge?"
"Yes."
"You both called her a liar?"
"Well, it was just me but she called me one first."
"And you both told her that You-know-who's back?"
"Yes."

The professor paused. "Have a biscuit Potters."

Harry gave her a questioning look but Fynn dunked her hand into the tartan tin, pulling out a Ginger Newt and handing one to Harry.

They both chewed slowly as Professor McGonagall lectured them on their actions.

"And I expect Miss Potter here to keep an eye and not join in on Mr. Potter."

Fynn mumbled a noncommittal gesture, but continued chomping on biscuits.

The professor sighed. "I need you two to be careful and be more consequent yourselves and your actions."

Fynn nodded. "Sorry, couldn't help it."

"No this is serious!" Professor McGonagall slammed her fist on the table. Her voice grew softer with each word, "I want you two to be more careful around Umbridge. For your own good. But since you earned yourselves detention, she expects you there tonight."

Both the twins muttered, but agreed anyway. "Oh miss Potter!" Fynn turned on her tracks to see Professor McGonagall staring intently on her.

"You resemble Lily, you know. But with James' eyes, lips and hair."

Harry gave a questioning look at both of them. Fynn cleared her throat, "He doesn't know Professor."

Professor McGonagall finished telling the story to Harry, who looked dumbstruck.

Feeling foolish, Fynn asked, "Do we have...any special powers?"

Professor McGonagall smiled fondly. "It's only you who can discover that."
